Cancellation Policy
Please be advised that any cancellations on flexible rates should be made before 12 noon on the day prior to arrival to avoid any cancellation charges. Any extras that have been ordered such as flowers will be charged at the full rate if cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice. If cancellation is received after 12 noon on the day prior to arrival, then one night’s stay will be charged.
Prepaid advanced rate offers will be charged in full prior to your arrival date, using the card details provided at the time of booking, and cannot be changed or amended.
Deposits & Pre-Payments
Promotional packages will require a £75 deposit which will be taken at the time of booking, per room booked. Although this deposit cannot be refunded it can be transferred to a future reservation on an alternative date within a 6-month period of the original arrival date (subject to availability). For advanced purchase rates full payment is required at time of booking, per room booked. This payment is non-refundable and non-transferable at any time.
Check In/Check Out
Each guest bedroom much be occupied by at least one individual who is aged 18 or above. Your room will be available for check in from 3.00pm on your date of arrival. Please advise the hotel if you will be arriving after 10.00pm. Check out time is 11.00am. Should you require a later check out, please advise Reception, although this will incur a charge of £20 per hour or part thereof and is subject to availability.
Dining
At the Grand Central Hotel, we are passionate about food and believe that eating is one of life’s greatest pleasures. We have embraced the use of carefully-selected local and seasonal quality foods, and under the supervision of our Executive Head Chef, Damian Tumilty, have created inspiring culinary delights for you to savour in our restaurants. From informal and contemporary dining in the Grand Café to phenomenal cuisine in the Seahorse Restaurant or stylish cocktails in the Observatory - Belfast’s most memorable sky-bar, dining in the Grand Central Hotel is spectacular, a culinary experience to be enjoyed and remembered.

Payment
A debit or credit card is required on check in and pre-authorisation for the total sum of the reservation plus £50 per room per night to allow for any additional extras will be taken using the debit or credit card.
Children
Children aged under 14 years of age sharing with 2 adults may stay free of charge, paying for meals as taken. Maximum of 1 free child place per room. Additional bed is available at £20 per night.
Non-Smoking Policy
Smoking is not permitted in any part of the hotel. Guests found to be smoking in bedrooms and/or any part of the premises will be subject to a minimum additional cleaning charge of £150, which will be charged to the debit or credit card provided upon check in to guarantee or pay for the reservation. In the event that no debit or credit card was provided on check in the management reserve the right to immediately terminate the reservation and request the guest’s immediate departure.
Damage by and / or behaviour of guests
The hotel is entitled to recover from a guest (a) the cost of repairs or replacements of any damage or loss caused by the guest or other persons for whom they are responsible and (b) loss of revenue caused by a bedroom damaged by a guest being unsellable, at the room only best available rate for each night the room can not be resold, up to a maximum of 3 nights after the guest leaves the premises, or when the damage was occurred, whichever is the earliest. Full payment for such damage or loss will be charged to the credit or debit card held on file for the room occupied by the guest concerned. We also reserve the right to terminate, without compensation or further obligation, the reservation if it is deemed that the guest’s behaviour is unsociable or is in any way unacceptable to ourselves or any other guest. In such circumstances the guest accepts that they will be required to immediately leave the premises.

Please refer to the documents in your bedroom regarding specific hotel evacuation procedures and fire muster point closest to your bedroom.
CCTV
24hour CCTV cameras are fitted throughout the public areas of the hotel for the safety of all concerned. By staying at the hotel, guests agree to be filmed using our CCTV equipment.
Data Protection
Any information supplied to the Reservations Department is held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and/or any other data protection in place from time to time, and may be used by Hastings Hotels to keep you informed of special offers and products which we believe may be of interest to you. We do not disclose personal information to third parties unless required to do so by law. If you prefer not to be updated by our mailings, please write to Hastings Hotels, Reservation Office, “1066” House, Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast BT4 3LP or email res@gch.hastingshotels.com giving your full name, current postal address and email address. Please allow 28 days for the removal to be processed.

The hotel concierge team offer valet parking subject to availability, please bring your car to the front of the hotel to avail of this service. Please note there will be a charge for this service.
Force Majeure
We regret that we cannot accept liability or pay any compensation where your stay or experience with the hotel is prevented or affected by ‘Force Majeure'. In these booking terms, ‘Force Majeure’ is defined as any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such events may include sleep disturbance from fellow guests, disturbance from emergency evacuations, fire, adverse weather conditions, industrial dispute, and all other events outside of our control.
Note: The hotel reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time.
